Dmitry Medvedev has stated that clauses of the Russian Constitution should not be made depending on the political situation
Russian First Vice Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has stated that clauses of the Russian Constitution should not be made depending on the political situation. “The Constitution clauses are fundamental and important for all Russian citizens and cannot be made dependent on that or other political situation in favour of that or other political forces,” Medvedev said here on Tuesday at a nationwide conference of skilled workers and experts on the topic “Priority National Projects-2007” that was organised by the Russian Institute with the Public Chamber participation. “For any state, the more so for such a complex one as ours, Constitution Day is a very important date. The Constitution is an imperishable value and the longer we live in the conditions of the existing Constitution the more we realise that. In any state the Constitution is the foundation of the civil society life,” Medvedev said.
