Credit institutions' balances on correspondent accounts with the Central Bank of Russia totaled 425.6 billion rubles ($16.03 billion at the current exchange rate) at the beginning of the business day, up 0.9% (4.2 billion rubles/$158.2 million) from Wednesday, the CBR said Thursday. Credit institutions' balances on deposit accounts with the Bank of Russia stood at 111.3 billion rubles ($4.19 billion), up 17% (19 billion rubles/$715.6 million), from Wednesday.
