Director General of the Irkutskspetstroi construction company Anatoly Sorokin was killed in Irkutsk on Friday
Director General of the Irkutskspetstroi construction company Anatoly Sorokin was killed in Irkutsk on Friday. The city Prosecutor’s Office told Itar-Tass the crime was committed ahead of the work beginning near the office of the enterprise on the first floor of a residential building in downtown Irkutsk. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Sorokin went into the house entrance from the backyard in order to open a service door, enter the office and open the central entrance on the other side of the building where his company staff members were waiting for him. In 15 minutes, the alarmed Irkutskspetstroi workers went to search for their boss and found his body in the doorway with gunshot wounds. Criminal proceedings have been instituted in connection with the assassination. “Judging by the method the crime was committed, it is not ruled out that it is a contract murder,” according to the Prosecutor’s Office.
