President Vladimir Putin has signed an injunction “On the Presidium of the State Council of the Russian Federation”, which renews its composition, the Kremlin press service reported on Monday. The new composition of the Presidium now includes President of the Kabardino-Balkaria Republic Arsen Kanokov, Head of the Altai Territorial Administration Alexander Karlin, Kurgan Regional Governor Oleg Bogomolov, Khabarovsk Territorial Governor Viktor Ishayev, Smolensk Regional Governor Viktor Maslov, Leningrad Regional Governor Valery Serdyukov, and Kirov Regional Governor Nikolai Shaklein. The Presidium is the Russian State Council’s principal working body. It includes the heads of the regions, representing all the country’s districts. Seven members of the Presidium are replaced every six months. The Presidium of the State Council was renewed for the last time in October 2006.
