Russia should step up cooperation with other countries in arms development to supply this produce for export
Russia should step up cooperation with other countries in arms development to supply this produce for export, Russian President Vladimir Putin told a meeting of the commission for military and technical cooperation with foreign countries on Tuesday. “Among the paramount tasks is the development of new forms of cooperation. The priority is undoubtedly in joint arms development and further batch productions both for our own needs and for export,” he said. He cited as good example cooperation with India. “Another task is the creation of joint enterprises to service military hardware and arms,” Putin said. He pointed to the creation of a first ever enterprise in this area on the CIS space – UzRosAvia company – Russian-Uzbek joint venture that specializes in helicopters maintenance. “I am confident that it will considerably increase the quality of helicopter fleet maintenance in Russia, Uzbekistan and other countries,” he said.
