Two MiG-29 fighter planes collided in the sky during a training flight in the southern Rostov region on Wednesday
”The incident happened at 16:02 Moscow time during training flights from the Millerovo airfield. The pilots ejected themselves from the aircraft,” Air Force spokesman, Colonel Alexander Drobyshevsky told Itar-Tass. “The pilots have been picked up by search and rescue teams who were working aboard two Mi-8 helicopters. The pilots are on their way to the departure point, 40 kilometres from the place of the crash,” he said. According to Drobyshevsky, “There are no casualties or damage on the ground as a result of the crash.”
