Top SPS and Yabloko leaders offered jobs in the Kremlin
MOSCOW - Top Union of Right Forces (SPS) and Yabloko members said they have received job offers in the Kremlin in form of questionnaires asking them to state what positions they would like to hold in the executive arm of government. Boris Nadezhdin, a top SPS member, conceded in a report carried by the Izvestia that he and some other SPS members have received offers from Kremlin. “We have received questionnaires from the Presidential Administration, asking us what positions we would like to hold in the government,” Nadezhdin said, adding he had already supplied answers to his questionnaire. Similarly, Yabloko member Sergei Mitrokhin also stated that some of his colleagues had received such offers. “We have received many offers from the government”, he said. The Kremlin’s latest move followed President Vladimir Putin’s promise during his live TV talk show on Dec. 18 “to make use of the great experience and management capabilities of representatives of Yabloko and SPS who failed to win the five-percent votes on the federal lists needed for party representation in the Duma at the Dec. 7 election.” However, both parties’ representatives have declined to elaborate on their future career decisions in the light of the latest developments.
