There are no reasons for restarting the six-nation talks on the North Korean nuclear issue as yet
There are no reasons for restarting the six-nation talks on the North Korean nuclear issue as yet, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Losyukov said. “I do not see reasons to expect that a regular round of the six-party talks will be resumed. The process should go in planned stages. If it has stalled somewhere, this rubble should be cleared. This is not yet happening, and for this reason the reports about the resumption of the round and that the ministers should be convened are irresponsible,” he said, commenting on assertions about the possible resumption of the talks in the middle of April. “It is necessary to solve the question of North Korea’s money and to begin to count a new 30-day timeline,” Losyukov said, referring to Pyongyang’s assets in an overseas bank.
