Boris Gryzlov is certain that in his party there are professionals capable of assuming control of government ministries addressing social issues
Russian State Duma Speaker, leader of the United Russia Party, Boris Gryzlov, is certain that in his party there are professionals capable of assuming control of government ministries addressing social issues, including the Health and Social Development Ministry. “That’s a question of personnel reserves. We certainly have such reserves,” Gryzlov told the media on Tuesday. The State Duma on April 4 declared the Health and Social Development Ministry’s performance was unsatisfactory, primarily due to the crisis in the system of supplies of free medical formulas to privileged groups of patients, including disabled and retirees. In their message to Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov the legislators called for considering the possibility of reinforcing this segment of the Cabinet’s activity with organizational measures and personnel. At the same time the lawmakers refrained form calling for the resignation of Health and Social Development Minister Mikhail Zurabov. However, on the next day, during his visit to Krasnoyarsk, Gryzlov said Zurabov must step down.
