World-renowned cellist and conductor Mstislav Rostropovich will be buried in Moscow's memorial Novodevichy Cemetery about ten to fifteen meters away from the grave of Russia's first president Boris Yeltsin, who was buried Wednesday. The information was revealed to Itar-Tass by David Yakobashvili, a close friend of the Rostropovich family. "His grave will be located on the central alley of the cemetery about ten to fifteen meters away from Boris Yeltsin's grave," Yakobashvili said. The funeral is due to take place at around 13:00 hours Sunday after a special funeral service in the downtown Cathedral of the Savior. Music lovers will be able to pay last respects to Rostropovich in the Grand Hall of Moscow Conservatory Saturday, April 28, from 11:00 hours to 20:00 hours.
