Customs officers of Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport have seized a Czech national, who was attempting to take out of Russia 805,000 euros
Customs officers of Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport have seized a Czech national, who was attempting to take out of Russia 805,000 euros, the press service of the Federal Customs Service reported on Monday. A passenger leaving for Prague said he had nothing to declare. He told customs officers that he had about 2,000 euros on him. However, “an uncertain reply of the tourist made a customs officer doubt,” it said. Another 802,500 euros, stashed in design drawings of construction documentation were found during a search. Criminal proceedings were instituted. The Czech national has been arrested, the Prime-Tass news agency reported.
