The Moscow Railway Company has enhanced security measures within the framework of the preparation for events to celebrate Victory Day
The Moscow Railway Company (MZD- a branch of Russian Railways - RZD) has enhanced security measures within the framework of the preparation for events to celebrate Victory Day, the MZD press service told Prime-Tass. According to the press service, additional measures to step up the guarding and access control regime at all facilities of railway transport have been taken, as well as measures to organise effective control on the part of the executive staff and auditing personnel for ensuring emergency-free work of structural units and MZD stations. Inspections of tracks and serviced sections are carried out daily. Train crews have been instructed to thoroughly check travel tickets and identification documents during passengers’ boarding trains. Control over the observance of security measures in the territories of railway terminals and other places of mass gathering of people has also been stepped up. At railway terminals, in passenger and commuter trains passengers are informed about the order of actions if suspicious or abandoned things are found. Transport police department in cooperation with joint specialised groups comprising police and security personnel has organised permanent patrolling of territories of railway terminals.
