The youth wing of the Just Russia party has held a picket in Moscow on Monday under the slogan "No to Fascism"
The youth wing of the Just Russia party has held a picket in Moscow on Monday under the slogan "No to Fascism". " We decided to stage a picket of silence," one of the leaders of the youth movement "Pobeda" (victory), Dmitry Gudkov told Tass. "We resolutely condemn the revival of fascism in Estonia, but we believe it is necessary to fight against the manifestations of social and inter-ethnic strife in Russia as well," Gudkov said. "Pobeda" activists intend to draw public attention to facts of the assassinations of foreign citizens on ethnic grounds in Russia, Gudkov said. In 2006, fifty-four people were killed and more than 600 wounded in ethnic conflicts in Russia, he said. Members of the Coordination Council of the Azerbaijanian Youth and the Association of Foreign Students in Russia took part in the picket staged in Pushkin square.
