Galina Vishnevskaya is being treated for pneumonia at her country house
Renowned Russian opera singer Galina Vishnevskaya is being treated for pneumonia at her country house, the press service of the Vishnevskaya Opera Centre said Tuesday. The source denied earlier reports that the singer had been admitted to hospital. "Galina Vishnevskaya had been diagnosed with pneumonia, but she is feeling well now and is being treated at her country house," the press service said. On April 29, the Russian soprano buried her husband, virtuoso cellist Mstislav Rostropovich. In 2006 the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
