The asset value of Russia's 30 largest banks increased 13.9% in the first quarter of 2007
The asset value of Russia's 30 largest banks increased 13.9% in the first quarter of 2007, to 10,844.3 billion rubles ($420.65 billion) as of April 1, 2007, against 9.6% in March, the Central Bank said Friday. Sobinbank dropped from the list of the country's 30 largest banks in March, and was replaced by MBRR. Currently the list of national banking giants includes Alfa Bank, Bank of Moscow, Ak Bars Bank, Binbank, Bank Vozrozhdeniye, Vneshtorgbank, VTB 24, Gazprombank, Zenit Bank, Impexbank, MDM Bank, International Moscow Bank (IMB), International Industrial Bank, Nomos-Bank, Bank Petrocommerce, Promsvyazbank, Industrial and Construction Bank, Raiffeisen Austria, Rosbank, Russian Agricultural Bank (Rosselkhozbank), Russian Standard Bank, Sberbank, Svyaz-Bank, ZAO Citibank, TransCreditBank, Trust National Bank, Uralsib, URSA Bank and Uniastrum Bank. In March 2007 the profits of Russia's top 30 banks increased 28.6%, to 83,125.4 million rubles ($3.22 billion) as of April 1, compared to 64,629.7 million rubles ($2.51 billion) in the same period last year.
