First group of representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia has arrived in Moscow
First group of representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR) that is expected to take part in the ceremony of signing an Act on Canonical Communications between ROCOR and the Russian Orthodox Church reporting to Moscow Patriarchate has arrived in Moscow. The signing ceremony has been scheduled for Thursday, May 17. The flight from Munich carrying the group landed at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo-2 airport at noon. ROCOR’s delegation at the ceremony will be led by the Archbishop of Berlin and Germany, Mark. The chairman of Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external relations, Metropolitan Cyril came to the airport to meet and greet the group. Other officials of Moscow Patriarchate taking part in the ceremony were Archbishop Innocent, the administrator of foreign dioceses reporting to the Patriarchate, and the abbot of Moscow’s Sretensky monastery, archimandrite Tichon, an active participant in negotiations between the two reuniting branches of the Russian Church
