MTS Vice-President Mikhail Shamolin was hurt in a helicopter crash in the Kashira district of the Moscow region on Sunday, director of the company’s public relations department Yelena Kokhanovskaya told Itar-Tass. “The accident hurt Vice-President and MTS Rossiya chief Mikhail Shamolin. He has a concussion and broken ribs. Doctors say that his condition is satisfactory,” she said. A Robinson helicopter carrying three people has crashed in the Kashira district near Moscow. “The helicopter crashed between the 105th and 106th kilometers of the Kashira Highway at 5:07 p.m. local time. It was carrying two young men and a young woman,” deputy spokesman for the Emergency Situations Ministry Viktor Beltsov told Itar-Tass. The crash victims were taken to the Kashira hospital. The pilot died, a Moscow regional police source said. According to the preliminary information, the helicopter belonged to the Stupino ROSTO club and took off from an airfield in Tarasovka. A commission will investigate the crash, while the transport prosecutor’s office will assess the case.
