Itar-Tass and the government of Tatarstan on Tuesday signed an agreement on information cooperation
Russia’s oldest news agency Itar-Tass and the government of Tatarstan on Tuesday signed an agreement on information cooperation. This document is aimed at “providing quick, reliable and all-round coverage of political, economic, social and cultural life of Tatarstan”. The document was inked in Moscow by Tatarstan’s Vice-Premier and Minister for Culture Zilya Valeyeva and Itar-Tass Director General Vitaly Ignatenko. In line with the agreement, the sides “take into consideration the importance of covering experience of Tatarstan in the formation of a market economy, social and cultural development, formation of a civil society and maintaining of cultural identity and accord among nations”. One more aim is “to form and support Tatarstan’s attractiveness for investors and cover the results of the implementation of national projects in the republic,” the document said.
