Moscow will reconstruct 16 regional airports before 2010. First deputy head of the department of transport and communication of the city Sergei Kalitin said about it at a meeting of the Moscow government on Tuesday. As he explained, Moscow authorities will repair the airports in Ivanovo, Ninzhny Novgorod, Lipetsk, Kaluga, Voronezh, Volgograd, Petrozavodsk, Bryansk and Tambov. Besides, they plan to upgrade the airports in Oryol, Orenburg, Kursk, Belgorod, Ulyanovsk, Kurgan and Kostroma during 2008-2010. As Kalitin said, investments in the reconstruction of one airport of “B” class amounts to about three billion roubles. He also said that before the end of 2010, they plan to finish the reconstruction of the airport Vnukovo and fully integrate it in the system of international air transportations. According to Kalitin, already in 2008, a new airport complex Vnukovo-1 will be put into operation.
