Twenty-eight people remain in Starorusskaya hospital after the mass food poisoning in a recreation center in the Novgorod region, chairwoman of the district committee for social protection of the population Nadezhda Yegorova told Itar-Tass. "It's better to be overcautious in our case; parents collected the healthy children and took them home within a day," Yegorova said. Meanwhile, the head of the district administration reprimanded Yegorova for insufficient control over compliance with sanitary-epidemiological norms in the children's recreation center Lesnaya Skazka. Lesnaya Skazka director Nona Polovova was also reprimanded. The reports on mass poisoning appeared on August 14. There were 124 people at the recreation center at the time. Prosecutors opened a criminal case. A court hearing is due after the authorities obtain the result of analysis of the food samples which is underway in Veliky Novgorod.
