Two hundred of illegal migrants have been detained in downtown Moscow during a special raid of the migration service
Two hundred of illegal migrants have been detained in downtown Moscow during a special raid of the migration service, the press service of the Moscow migration service department told Itar-Tass on Friday. “Illegal migrants lived in three houses in Sadovnicheskaya Street from where residents had been evicted. Most detainees, mainly citizens of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Moldova, had no documents,” the press service said. Foreign workers said they were employed by some firms that issued them labour contracts and allowed them to live in empty houses. The detainees were taken to a police department. “After all documents are prepared, their cases will be submitted to courts to consider administrative deportation for violating the migration rules,” the source said.
