A cache with a big amount of weapons and ammunition was found in Grozny, press secretary of the Chechen Interior Ministry Magomed Deniyev told ITAR-TASS on Thursday. According to the available information, the cache belonged to active member of illegal armed formations Musa Mutiyev destroyed in an armed clash on September 8, 2007. Officers of the police and the Federal Security Service Department found the cache during the holding of a search operation at the site of a ruined house in Tbilisskaya Street. The cache contained 16 submachine-guns, two machine-guns, two grenade launchers, a homemade explosive device that consisted of a magnetic mine and plastid, seven VOG-25 projectiles, 32 detonators, 56 30-mm shells, as well as more than 1,000 cartridges,” a spokesman for the Interior Ministry said.
