A 10-year-old boy in Krasnodar, southern Russia, had a lucky escape when a group of teenagers tried to set him on fire, a local emergencies spokesman said Thursday. The boy almost turned into a human fireball after drunken youths aged 18-20 doused his clothes with petrol, threw a match at him and left him to die, the spokesman said. However, the boy's friend managed to put out the flames, he then took him home on his bike. The victim was hospitalized with burns over 5% of his body. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
