Russia makes no arms supplies to Iraq
Russia makes no arms supplies to Iraq, Foreign Ministry spokesman Mikhail Kamynin said on Monday. Information about the supplies of Russian Mi-17 combat helicopter gunships to Iraq “does not correspond to reality”, he said. “We have already officially denied such rumours that from time to time appear in the press,” the spokesman said. “I can only confirm that Russia dope snot make any arms supplies to Iraq,” he said. “We take into account the acute military and political situation in the country, especially ethnic and confessional contradictions that are exacerbated by foreign military presence,” Kamynin said. “Naturally, these restrictions do not apply to our interaction with Iraq in other fields,” he added.
