Vandals have turned upside down and destroyed 64 tombs in a Jewish cemetery in Krasnoyarsk
Vandals have turned upside down and destroyed 64 tombs in a Jewish cemetery in Krasnoyarsk, the press service of the Federation of Jewish communities in Russia told Tass on Monday. The vandals attacked the cemetery last night; there are no guards in the cemetery situated in the city center. The Sovetsky District Interior Department has been investigating. The cemetery had earlier been vandalized twice - in 1998 and 2001. In recent years anti-Semitic slogans had been drawn on the walls of a local synagogue several times. "No one has been brought to justice yet," a representative of the Federation said.
