Tokyo saw the presentation of the Russian-Japanese business council, reads the press release of the Russian Audit Chamber
The council was established by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in April 2004. Chairman of the Russian Audit Chamber Sergei Stepashin, head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yevgeny Primakov, and head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Arkady Volsky are the business council's president, chairman and head of the board of trustees correspondingly. The purpose of the new organization is to work out new proposals on major and socially important projects in energy, transport, building and hi-tech spheres, says the press release. The new organization cooperates with the Russian Foreign Ministry and Economic Development and Trade Ministry, said Aslan Atabiyev, council's chairman of the board. During their stay in Japan representatives of the council's board met with heads of the Federation of Economic Organizations, leading companies and the Japanese Foreign Ministry.
