Almost 15 kilograms of heroin have been confiscated from a jobless man in the Ryazan Region, ITAR-TASS learnt at the regional law enforcement bodies on Monday. The man was detained in the village of Denezhnikovo on Sunday by officers of the Main Department of the Interior Ministry for the Central Federal District and the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the regional Interior Department. “While examining the man and his place of residence, a major batch of heroin was discovered,” a law enforcer said. The total weight of the confiscated drug amounted to 14.9 kilograms. The origin of heroin is being established. Investigation is underway. According to the regional law enforcement bodies, this is the biggest batch of heroin seized in the Ryazan Region over the last several years.
