Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia will ignore any groundless attempts at forcing it to restrict the export of military hardware
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia will ignore any groundless attempts at forcing it to restrict the export of military hardware. “Russia has always observed all international liabilities in the military-technological sphere, including the existing export control regimen, and it will continue doing so in the future,” Putin said at a meeting of the commission for military-technological cooperation on Wednesday. “At the same time any attempts to make us accept some other restrictions, based on unilateral or politicized evaluations cannot and will not be taken into account.” The Russian president said arms export was geared exclusively to strengthening the defenses of the recipient countries and to maintaining stability and regional security in different parts of the world. “This is an absolute priority for us,” Putin said, as he invited the commission to give thought to how to best to control the proper use of armaments Russia exports.
