The average Urals oil price in January-June 2004 amounts to $30.8 per barrel showing 15.2 per cent increase year-on-year
The Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade published this information on its official Web site. In the first quarter of 2003, the average price for Urals oil amounted to $29.5, in the second quarter - $24.1, in the third quarter - $27.2, and in the fourth quarter - $28 per barrel. Earlier, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade reported that the average annual oil price in 2004 had been adjusted and became $29 per barrel. In 2005, according to the optimistic option, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade forecasts oil prices to reach $26 per barrel.
