Russian President Vladimir Putin has thanked senators for their work in the Kremlin on Tuesday
The head of state pointed out a constructive contribution of the Federation Council in the consideration of the laws on reducing of the unified social tax, state civil service, development of inter-budgetary relations and benefit payments. Vladimir Putin highly assessed the senators' balanced attitude to this law, which is "important and delicate". Moreover, the President spoke about the political significance of the Federation Council's position on the formation of the Common Economic Space with Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The Town-planning Code, housing, health care and education bills and the 2005 draft budget are on the future agenda of the Federation Council, Vladimir Putin said. He called on the senators to join regional initiatives. According to the head of state, the adopted laws not only improve the legal system but also lay a solid foundation of economic and social development.
