Lokomotiv Moscow drew for the second time in as many matches in this season's UEFA Cup group stage, coming from behind to draw 1-1 with Scottish club Aberdeen.

Zander Diamond gave the Scots the lead in the 29th minute, but Lokomotiv struck back swiftly, Dmitry Sychev hitting the post before Branislav Ivanovic headed in an equalizer in the 45th minute.

Earlier on Thursday, Zenit St. Petersburg beat Larissa 3-2 in Greece, while Spartak Moscow recorded a fine 2-1 victory at home to 2002 Champion League finalists Bayer Leverkusen.

In the UEFA Cup group stages, each team plays two matches at home and two away, with the top three going through to the knockout rounds, where they will be joined by the eight teams finishing in third place in their Champions League groups.

All three Russian teams are currently in second place in their respective groups.

In the next round of fixtures, scheduled for November 29th, Zenit are at home against German club Nurnberg, Lokomotiv take on FC Copenhagen in Moscow, while Spartak are away to Sparta Prague.
