Putin and Kuchma see no problem with Tuzla spit
MOSCOW - President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma have not discussed the problem of Tuzla spit. Deputy head of Presidential Administration Sergey Prikhodko stated at a press-conference that “there does not exist such a problem in Russia-Ukrainian relations”, and called it ‘phantom”, Izvestia reports. Prikhodko informed reporters, that main subjects of discussion were joint utilization of Azov sea natural resources by Russia and Ukraine and cooperation in navigation management in Kerch Strait. “There is no problem of payment for Russia ship passage through the channel. No-one has made unjustified demands, and Russia does not introduce any measures to limit the navigation. Nobody has deliberately blocked the channel with barbed wire”, Prikhodko noted.
