Russia exported some 119.908m tons of oil in January to July 2004, which was 6.2 percent more than in the corresponding period in 2003, the Federal Customs Service reported. The cost of oil exports reached some $24.4bn, which was 26.4 percent more than in January to July 2003. Oil exports to countries outside the CIS advanced 7 percent and amounted to some 107.424m tons totaling $22.3bn; oil exports to the CIS dropped 1.6 percent and reached some 12.483m tons totaling $2.2bn
