Moscow business forum on Quality Standard in Europe
The 48th Congress of the Organization for Quality Standard in Europe will be held in Moscow in September 7-9. The Russian energy and industry ministry reported that the Organization's representatives are gathering for a business forum in Moscow for the third time in its half a century history. The ministry believes that the holding of the 48th congress of this Organization in Moscow shows that the important role of Russia in the development of the world, in particular the European economy, was recognized on the European level. Taking part in the work of the congress will be representatives of the Russian energy and industry ministry, and the federal agency for metrology and standardization. Reports at the congress's sessions will be made by leading European and Russian scientists as well as representatives of the most successful companies, including winners of the Russian quality prize. The Organization for Quality Standard in Europe was formed in 1956 with the aim of helping to develop national organizations engaged in their respective countries in solving the problems of quality by way of spreading the most efficient methods of quality and innovations management in this sphere. Russia was one of the initiators of creating this Organization which now unites more than 32 European countries. Gosstandart Rossii (now the Agency for the Technical Regulation and Metrology) is the Organization's member from Russia.
