Homeland faction comes out for the resignation of the government, its chairman Dmitry Rogozin said
The Homeland faction comes out for the resignation of the government, its chairman Dmitry Rogozin said on Thursday after the faction's session. The faction's deputies have started collecting signatures and preparing documents, necessary for expressing a vote of no-confidence to the government, the faction leader said. "We believe that this government is weak, including its power block. For this reason we shall stand for no-confidence to the government," Rogozin said. In his opinion, in the past tragic days the government did not do anything, having left the President tete-a-tete with this grief. "We express no-confidence to the government which has allowed such large-scale terrorist acts killing so many people taking place," the faction leader said. According to him, the deputies agree with the theses put forth by the President after the terrorist acts. "We stand for a strong, stable state and we shall not allow anybody to shake the state boat and hurl Russia into chaos and interethnic strife," Rogozin stated. He pointed out that the parliamentarians were ready to join the implementation of the proposals on strengthening the situation in the country. The main task of the authorities, in the opinion of the parliamentarians, is to prevent a bloodshed in the Caucasus. Dmitry Rogozin believes, however, that it is impossible to carry out these measures with the weak government.
