Chechen law enforcement officers discovered the bodies of three terrorists
Chechen law enforcement officers discovered the bodies of three terrorists who were probably killed by their associates in the Achkhoi-Martan district, the press center of the regional headquarters of the North Caucasus antiterrorism operation said. "The militants were discovered by a local shepherd in the area between the villages of Chozhi-chu and Yandi in dense bushes," the spokesman said. "Two of them were dressed in camouflage uniforms and one was in black overalls. Three Kalashnikov rifles, their personal belongings and the remnants of food lay nearby." He said the militants had been shot and that several days ago, local residents saw a gang of four or five people in the area. "Probably, a conflict flared up in the gang and it led to the murder of three bandits," the spokesman said. The militants are still being identified. In the Argun district, an explosive device was confiscated from local woman. The spokesman for the Russian Interior Ministry in the North Caucasus said the homemade bomb was discovered during a check of operative information received from local residents. In one of the houses in the city of Argun, policemen found a 1.5 liter plastic bottle filled with explosives. To enhance the destructiveness of the device, it was filled with metal bolts. An electric detonator was mounted on the cap, the press center said.
