ISS is faulty in the American part of the station
Mission controllers have tracked down the source of a leak on the international space station that caused pressure to drop and raised safety concerns, and the problem should be fixed in a few days, a Russian space official said Monday. The leak was caused by a malfunctioning valve that disposes of extra pressure, said Sergei Gorbunov, spokesman for Rosaviakosmos, the Russian Aerospace Agency. The American astronaut and the Russian cosmonaut aboard should be able to fix it "within the next few days," Gorbunov told Echo of Moscow radio. Gorbunov said the pressure, which had dropped steadily since late December, had stabilized. Russian news media said the valve was located on the American part of the station.
