Several ballot boxes were smashed after Saturday's presidential election in Georgia
Several ballot boxes were smashed after Saturday's presidential election in Georgia in a car accident, and almost all ballot papers in the boxes were lost, an adviser to the Central Election Commission chairman said Sunday.

Nuzgzar Kupreishvili said members of election commission 104 of the Kutaisi electoral district were carrying election documents to the district election commission when their taxi collided with another taxi, and both cars overturned.

However, the election commission officials were only slightly injured in the accident.

Kutaisi is Georgia's second largest city located 140 miles to the west of the country's capital, Tbilisi.
