Located close to the city center, the oceanarium will be over 12 meters (some 40 feet) deep. It will contain some 6,000 creatures from all the world's oceans, housed in more than ten million liters of water.

The complex will host over 60 permanent displays, supported by 2,000 staff including microbiologists, scuba divers, and vets.

The oceanarium is to be part of an entertainment center including a shopping mall, a cinema, a bowling center and a hotel. Over four million people are expected to visit the leisure complex in its first year.
