The 9th International Environmental Film Festival Green Vision will be held in St Petersburg
The 9th International Environmental Film Festival Green Vision will be held in St Petersburg in the context of the Environment Week. According to the chief expert of the city committee for nature management, environmental protection and ensuring ecological security, Yelena Titova, 53 films from 24 countries, including Iceland, Portugal and special administrative district of China Hong Kong, will be shown at the festival. "These films are in different genres: documentaries, scientific and educational films, and animation films. All of them are devoted to the existing ecological problems and ways of solving them. This year, many films will be devoted to the protection of the sea," Yelena Titova said. The international jury of the festival consists of Frantisek Urban, president of the ECOMove International Association of Environmental Festivals (Czech Republic); Vitaly Kanevsky, Russian film director, actor and script writer; Leslie Franke, German cameraman; and Teuvo Suominen. Finnish journalist, photographer and film director. The winners will be announced on the concluding day of the festival, September 24. They will receive exclusive awards made in the style of laser graphics. The Green Vision Festival, which is among the ten biggest European environmental film festivals, will be held in St Petersburg for the ninth time.
