Two Russian coaches to train Azeri gymnasts
Two coaches from the Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics team will come to Baku in the second half of January at the invitation of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation. Inna Bystrova and Natalya Loshinskaya will train Azerbaijani gymnasts for two group performance exercises. Loshinskaya was a World Champion in group performance within the USSR team. She is a well-known specialist and international referee and has extensive experience judging major tournaments. Valentina Ukleyina, head coach of the Azerbaijani Rhythmic Gymnastics team, told AssA-Irada that preparations are now underway for group performance under the guidance of coach Natalya Narimanova. Candidates for the team are currently being selected. The Russian specialists will be in Baku for about ten days. The goal of the training is to ensure Azerbaijan's participation in the group events at the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship. The tournament will take place in Baku in 2005.
