The American ConocoPhillips company announced a tender for the purchase of 20,417,597 ordinary Lukoil shares
The American ConocoPhillips company, which won the auction for sale of the state-owned block of Lukoil's shares (7.59%), announced a tender for the purchase of 20,417,597 ordinary Lukoil shares (2.4% of the authorised capital), ConocoPhillips reported. According to James Malva, ConocoPhillips' president, the company intends to increase its participation in Lukoil's capital to 10% by the end of this year. In James Malva's words, his company's goal is to increase its share in Lukoil's capital from 7.6% to 10% by the end of the year. This will be done through a tender in conditions of an open market. James Malva noted that ConocoPhillips was planning to increase this share to 20% in future. As he said, they were doing this proceeding from their own considerations. On Wednesday, Springtime Holdings Ltd. representing ConocoPhillips' interests purchased through auction the 7.59% state-owned stake in Lukoil for $1,988 billion. The starting price of the state-owned share packet was $1,928 billion.
