A Russian Emergency Situations Ministry plane
A Russian Emergency Situations Ministry plane is to fly back to Moscow the Russians injured in Thursday's coach crash in Egypt, the ministry said.

The plane, carrying medical personnel, will take off at noon (08:00 GMT) from the Ramenskoye airport in the Moscow Region.

On Thursday, a bus transporting 37 foreign tourists from the popular tourist resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to the Egyptian capital, Cairo, hit a sharp bend on a desert highway at Abu Zenima, about 40 miles (65 km) southeast of the Suez Canal. The vehicle overturned and caught fire, killing eight foreign tourists, including six Russians.

A total of 16 Russians have also been injured in the crash, and six of them are currently in hospital in Egypt.

The cause of the accident is being investigated. Some media sources have reported it was due to a burst tire.
