U.S. President George Bush will depart on Tuesday on a six-day
U.S. President George Bush will depart on Tuesday on a six-day Middle East tour with stops in Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, the White House said on Tuesday.

Bush will attend celebrations to mark the 60th anniversary of the State of Israel's founding on Wednesday, and will meet with President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

The U.S. leader's trip to Saudi Arabia is timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He will meet with King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud at his out-of-town residence.

On Saturday, Bush will fly to the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, where will meet with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Afghan President Hamid Karzai, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

The U.S. president will address a session of the World Economic Forum on the Middle East in Sharm el-Sheikh, after which he will return to Washington.
