More than 25,000 people in the North Caucasus Republic of Ingushetia
More than 25,000 people in the North Caucasus Republic of Ingushetia are still without electricity following Sunday's heavy storms, local emergencies officials said.

Strong winds, heavy rain and hail swept across large parts of the republic on Sunday night, ripping roofs from buildings and bringing down power lines.

The storm left some 176,000 locals without power in two regions and the city of Karabulak. Local emergencies services workers spent the whole night repairing power lines.

Rescuers expect that power in the republic will be fully restored by 2.00 p.m. Moscow time (10.00 a.m. GMT).

Meanwhile, the local meteorological service has warned that the storm could continue on Monday.
