Ukraine's PM Yulia Tymoshenko will make a one-day working visit
Ukraine's PM Yulia Tymoshenko will make a one-day working visit to Poland on Monday to discuss preparations for Euro 2012, the Ukrainian government said in a statement.

Poland and Ukraine were selected to co-host the tournament in 2007, but in January UEFA expressed its dissatisfaction with the start the countries had made preparing for the event.

"The Ukrainian premier will meet with her Polish counterpart Donald Tusk. Yulia Tymoshenko will also attend the first meeting of the Ukrainian-Polish intergovernmental committee for the Euro-2012 preparations," the statement reads.

The two premiers are expected to give a joint news conference after the event.

Tymoshenko, accompanied by two deputy prime ministers, and a number of Cabinet ministers, will also meet with Marshal of the Sejm Bronslaw Komorowski and Polish President Lech Kaczynski.

At a meeting with Tymoshenko in early June, Michel Platini, the president of European soccer's governing body, pointed to some problems in Euro-2012 arrangements both in Ukraine and Poland. The Ukrainian premier assured the soccer official that Ukraine would do everything possible to make Euro 2012 a true holiday for the soccer world.

The UEFA Executive Committee will review the situation in the two countries at a meeting in Bordeaux on 25-26 September.
