The protocol that will allow Ukrainian nationals to stay in Russia for 90 days without being registered is coming into force on November 1
The protocol that will allow Ukrainian nationals to stay in Russia for 90 days without being registered is coming into force on November 1. Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Viktor Chernomyrdin and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Konstantin Grishchenko signed the protocol that amends the January 16, 1997 bilateral inter-government agreement on the visa-free travels of the two countries' residents in Kiev on Saturday, Alexander Yakovenko, the Russian foreign ministry's official spokesman, told RIA Novosti earlier. "Under the protocol Russian and Ukrainian residents are allowed not to be registered with relevant bodies at the place of their stay in Russia or Ukraine if they do not stay there longer than 90 days since their arrival," said Mr Yakovenko. "The protocol will be practised tentatively since November 1, 2004," said the diplomat.
