Quentin Tarantino says he's planning a kung-fu film with all dialogue in Mandarin Chinese
Director Quentin Tarantino says he's planning a kung-fu film with all dialogue in Mandarin Chinese, with out-of-synch English dubbing in homage to many such films in the past. In an interview with Total Film magazine, Tarantino said he decided to do the kung-fu film instead of Inglorious Bastards, the working title of his expected film based on the Second World War, wrote Globe and Mail. "I enjoyed shooting all the Japanese stuff in Kill Bill so much that this whole film will be entirely in Mandarin," Tarantino said in the interview. "If you're not up to watching it with subtitles, I really want to do a full-on dubbed version." "My next movie is gonna be another gongfu (film) that's gonna blow your asses off," he said. "Everyone still thinks I'm doing Inglorious Bastards next but before I do, I want to do something much smaller," he said, informs the Electric New Paper.
