Ukrainian Central Election Committee denies the rumors about the capture of several floors at the CEC building
"Nobody captured the CEC building. The situation there is normal," reported CEC press service in an interview with RIA Novosti. On Thursday, representative of Ukrainian presidential candidate Victor Yanukovich, people's deputy Stepan Gavrish told journalists that the night before "a group of deputies from Our Ukraine faction led by Yuschenko's election campaign manager Alexander Zinchenko captured several floors at the CEC building and demanded access to CEC server." Sources in the CEC revealed that several deputies, supporters of Victor Yuschenko, indeed, entered the CEC building; however, they did not make any attempts to capture the building. At present, representatives of the parliamentary majority, who support Victor Yanukovich and representatives of the opposition, mainly the members of the Our Ukraine faction remain in the CEC building. Mr. Gavrish told journalists that "representatives of the parliamentary majority will stay in the building until members of Our Ukraine will have left the premises."
