A court in the Kaliningrad region, a Russian enclave
A court in the Kaliningrad region, a Russian enclave on the Baltic Sea, has given a student a three-year suspended sentence for biting a police officer, a spokesman for the local prosecutor's office said Monday.

In May this year, a female police officer detained a 17-year-old student after she started a row while drunk at a dormitory of the Kaliningrad Industrial College.

When the detained was driven to a police station, she attempted to break the car window. The police officer then grabbed hold of her, at which point the student bit the officer on the wrist.

The court found the student guilty of inflicting a bodily harm on a police officer and gave her a three-year suspended sentence.
